How to file

  1. Your application to the Registry may be filed by hand, post or electronic means.
    1. An application to be filed by hand or by post must be delivered to –

      213 Queen's Road East
      Wanchai, Hong Kong
    2. An application may also be filed by electronic means in accordance with the specified terms and conditions. Please contact the Registry via its public enquiry hotline (2961 6901) or e-mail (enquiry@ipd.gov.hk) to obtain the specified terms and conditions in advance of electronic filing.

Payment of prescribed fees

  1. Please pay the prescribed fee, if applicable, upon filing the specified form(s) in support of your application or otherwise your application will not be processed by the Registry. Payment may be made by –
    1. (for application filed by hand) cash, Octopus or cheque [payable to "The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region"]
    2. (for application filed by post) cheque [payable to "The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region"]; or
    3. (for application filed by electronic means) using the electronic General Demand Note (e-GDN) billing service.
  2. Any fee paid is not refundable whether or not the application is approved or not.
