section 13.90 has been revised to clarify the ways of filing a patent application; and section 13.41 of the Chinese version has been revised to reflect one textual amendment.

Section 14: Formality Examination of Patent Applications:
section 14.28 has been revised to reflect the Registry’s current practice on examining deficiencies regarding formal requirements; and section 14.3 of the English version has been revised to reflect one textual amendment.

Section 15: Substantive Examination of Standard Patent (O) Applications and Short-term Patents:
section 15.5A has been added to reflect the arrangement whereby an applicant may file a written statement to confirm no pre-grant amendment is required such that substantive examination may commence earlier.
