14 October 2016 The chapter on “Appeals against decisions of the Registrar” has been revised to provide more guidance on the procedure for applying to the Registrar for an extension of time to bring an appeal under Order 100 rule 2(5) of the Rules of the High Court.
The chapter on “Evidence” has been revised to provide more guidance on the procedure where a party summoned by the Registrar fails to attend a hearing.
7 October 2016 The chapter on “Absolute grounds for refusal” has been revised to clarify the interplay between the different grounds for refusal under section 11(1)(a), (b), (c) and (d) of the Ordinance.
23 September 2016 The chapter on “Claim to priority” has been revised to reflect the change of the “Community Trade Mark” to the “European Union Trade Mark” and to clarify the Registry’s interpretation of “the same trade mark” for the purpose of claiming priority under section 41(1).

15 July 2016 The chapter on “Computation of time for filing at the Registry” has been revised to add more examples for illustration of the Registry’s practice in relation to computation of time limits.
1 April 2016 The chapter on “Letters and numerals” has been revised to clarify the Registry’s examination practice in relation to single letter marks and marks consisting of single digit number.
