Invitation to Briefing Session on the Consultation Plan on the Regulatory Arrangements for Local Patent Agent Services As announced in the 2023 Policy Address, the Government will take the lead in discussing with stakeholders to plan for the introduction of regulatory arrangements for local patent agent services. The Intellectual Property Department will organize a briefing session for the patent practitioners who are not members of any intellectual property practitioners’ bodies in Hong Kong. The briefing session will cover the range of regulatory issues concerned and the proposed consultation plan. After verification, such calls were not made by our staff. The IPD urges the public to stay vigilant against fraudulent calls, scam emails or messages purportedly made or issued by the department.
